As dusk falls, the door to a magical realm swings open. Wrap up warm and set off on a fairytale journey into the world of Colours of the Exotic. The light will guide you across the savannah, where a lion slips through the shadows of the trees. You'll dive into an underwater world with dolphins and pause by a lagoon full of flamingos.
The light sculptures will take you far beyond the everyday. Step by step, you'll rediscover places you know from faraway travels.

You'll find the MagicznyBotaniczny (MagicalBotanical) garden of lights: Colours of the Exotic in the University of Warsaw Botanic Garden, right next to the Royal Baths Park (Łazienki Królewskie).
Give a high-five to a panda, visit a lagoon filled with flamingos, stroll along a desert avenue of cacti, and dive beneath the ocean’s surface. Each stop leads to another story brought to life through light. Here is a glimpse of just a few of them.

At the entrance, you will receive a Tropical Passport. Open it, and the pathways will unfold into a magical story beneath your feet. Each stop reveals a new clue and a new question to lead you further on your journey: Why do cacti have spines? Why are flamingos pink? How loud can a lion roar? Do elephants really never forget?
Look for the answers to these and other questions between light and shadow, among tropical leaves and animal silhouettes. Collect stamps as keepsakes of your journey. A little prize awaits you at the end.
Hot coffee, tea and something sweet are waiting for you in the garden of lights — the perfect stop halfway through your walk or at the end of the evening.
Due to the historic nature of the site, visitor limits apply, and bicycles, scooters and sledges are not allowed.
Due to the presence of rare and protected plant species, dogs and other animals are not allowed in the garden of lights.
The paths in the garden of lights are suitable for pushchairs. They are also accessible to people with limited mobility.
During periods of heavy snowfall, moving around with wheelchairs or pushchairs may be more difficult, and some areas may become icy. The paths are cleared of snow and treated with sand; however, to protect the garden’s rare and protected plant species, salt is not used on the pathways.
