✦ Visitor rules

Good to know

Animals

Due to the presence of rare and protected plant species, dogs and other animals are not allowed in the garden of lights.

Visitor limits

Due to the historic nature of the site, the number of visitors in the garden of lights is limited.

Pushchairs and accessibility

The paths in the garden of lights are suitable for pushchairs. They are also accessible to people with limited mobility. During heavy snowfall, getting around with a pushchair or wheelchair may be difficult, and there may be icy patches in places.

When it snows

The paths are cleared of snow and gritted with sand, but because of the rare and protected plant species in the garden, no salt is used on them.

Coffee and snacks

You can buy coffee, tea and something sweet on site.

Entry rules

Bicycles, scooters and sledges are not allowed.

✦ Free University of Warsaw passes

How do University of Warsaw staff, students and PhD students get their free pass?

Free passes can only be obtained online, as follows:

1.

Log in to MojeKontoUW. To do this, you must be connected to an authorised university network. In the system, you'll find a discount code — copy it.

2.

Go to the ticket operator's website.

GO TO TICKET OPERATOR

3.

Fill in the order form following the on-screen instructions, choose a convenient date and time for your visit, and add one pass to your basket by clicking the + sign.

The code is valid for only one free pass per season. If you add more passes to your order, the code won't work. If you'd like to buy additional tickets, please use the separate ticket sales system. You'll find it HERE.

4.

Click “Next” and enter your details.

We'll send the pass to the email address you provide, so please make sure it's correct.

5.

In the “Your details” section, tick the “I have a discount code” box and paste the code you copied from the university website. Confirm it.

Make sure the code has no extra spaces and that upper- and lower-case letters match. Once a valid code is accepted, your basket total will drop to 0 PLN.

6.

Then follow the on-screen instructions. In the payment section, choose any method — if the code has been entered correctly, the system won't ask you to pay and will automatically send the pass to the email address you provided.
